More effective

It has cooled down since Monday and it's good. Now my brain works with a higher efficiency and I got some new ideas how to change the layout of my website. So here are a few changes I did.

  • Startet to rearange the "portfolio" section. I didn't upload anything of it, because it's a realy mess. I screwed up some things, so probably I'll creat the section from the beginning
  • Here in the "news" section you can see what I'm about to do. I try to add more color to the site, even if it's this boring white/grey thing. I'll add this way some forms so it'll look a bit attractive. Will do some more expreiments to see how it'll look like, until then only the "news" section will have this new look.

I did a realy small update to the site, I wrote a new link. I put the link to Jean-Sébastien Monzani´s site called simplemoment.com. This is his on-line protfolio and I must ay that one of the greatest I've seen so far. The pictures are simply beautiful, emotional, perfect. Give it a try and check it out, too.

Random things

It's Saturday afternoon and it's still hot. Now, for over a week we have realy hot and sunny weather. Sometimes it's just like in hells kitchen, with temperatures between 30°C and 40°C. Steamy, sticky and sweating days we have here.

Anyway. What I want to say was that I bought a new CD-RW. I bought the Plextor PX-W5224TA , the one I had on my "Things to buy list". The next on my list is another Corsair 256MB XMS-3200C2 stick and a APC Back UPS 650VA. A Tagan TG480-U01 power supply would be great aswell as soon as possible, but which of these things I goona buy first depends on the money I'll have. All of these three things are important. Because of these few things I did a small update to the "about" section.

I didn't do some changes to the photo or any other section 'cos I don't have the will to do. It's unconfortable to work these days, I feel like I'm boiled. Will do those important changes as soon as I feel confortable in front of my computer. Until than you have to look at this stupid layout and unfinished informations.

Another small update to the site.

  • The "news" section works now with tempates. I was about to update the news navigator when I wondered why I'm not using templates for this section. I had to do change this. This will save me about one minute time, but still it's better this way.
  • Every link has now the title=" " code and the most have the "change status bar text" code. The links to external sites have this status bar change only if the link takes you to the pimary site, like the domain name. Hmm, maybe I'll chenge this to every single link. I'll see how much time and will I'll have.

I got last night some .pdf file about Macromedia Flash. I hope this will halp me to create a flash intro fro my site and a flash header that will change the navigation behaviour between the main sections on the site.

It's sunday and it's hot. There is no will to do anything on this website but I have to do something, 'cos this is the only time I have the will to do something.

  • A reorganisation of the "photography" section
  • Removed the popup windows, now the photos open in the same browser. This makes more work, because I had to create for every single picture a site Since I don't know how to load the pictures into the site on a different easier way. I'll have to study php a bit more. Maybe I'll wait until php5 is supported by the server and will change the code of the site.
  • The "photography" section isn't finished yet, I'll work a bit more on it. It needs a different touch, but basically the way how it works will be the same like now, after the update. I didn't finish the work for all photos. Will do them as soon as possible.

This and that

Wow, first news in July 2004. I thould do some more work so I can write more entries to the site. Well, anyway. Fisrt of all I have to say that I want' bussy in the last time. On the one side I didnt' havet hat much time and ideas and on the other side I sold my CPU so I had to wait until I got the new one. I bought a new cooler and a new case, too. The new cooler is need for the new CPU, had to be a bit stronger and better to keep the overclocked CPU cool and the new case is just to have more space in it. I didn't get exactly the one I ordered. I got a 300W case with a plexiglass window instead of a 420W case with normal side plate. Anyway, I'll buy a good power supply if I get some money.

  • "about" section has been updated, the computer part. Now it showes the new hardware I have
  • mouse over status bar effect included to the art section of the website, too
  • there is now a visible preview of the first layout my website had under the igorklajo.de domain
