  • Uploaded a new manipulation called sxi lady fourteen. The stock I used for this piece is also by and with the beautiful Manya.
  • Finally using a rollover image as submit button in the "contact" section. Thanks to marac from mi3dot.org who told me the code
  • Fixed a mistake in the linkage section.
  • Two new links in the "linkage" section, mi3dot.org and dizajnzona.com. Both sites are helpfull for me.
  • Three new banners (and links) in the "linkage" section.

MSN search beta launched

After a long time I did another manipulation out of a stock photo taken by (and with) the beautiful Manya. It is number 13 in the series. I hope to be able to create much more manipulaitons in the future. There will be some monre in the next days, I just have to create them, but until it'll happen here is the "sxi lady thirteen".

I wrote an article for deviantART, well more a news about the new search engine from Microsoft. The article is called MSN search beta released. It is nothing special, just a few lines I wrote by myslef and than some text I found at ecommerceiq.com. This was the first time that a news of mine was approved to be showen on the site. The first one I did came to late. So mebody wrote it better so mine was refused. I have to say that I messed up something with this article. When submitting, three fields are given. One for the title, one for the summary and one for the article. I wrote the first paragraph of the article in the summary section in the believe that it'll be showen on the site, aswell. I was wrong. The summary isn't in the article, it's missing. Now I learned something so I won't mess up the next one I gonna write . . . in a far far future.

Here is the missing part:
"Microsoft, the biggest software developer worldwide, launched it's new internet search, MSN Search. Looks like the battle for the internet reaches the next level with this search engine. Only future will tell who will lead the World Wide Web, Google or MSN Search. Microsoft used to win almost all his battles, wether it's something huge, for example monopolistic behaviour, or smaller problems against Mike Rowe, but this looks like a huge challenge."

New domain

Last Friday I sent in an application about domain registration to CarNet. What do I need another domain for ? ? ? I need it for my webdesign course, not like I realy need another one, but I'll need a different domain from this to test some other sites. I don't know if you knew that Croatia is the first country where people have the right to get a .hr domain for free. That's not everything. People in Croatia have the right to get free webhosting for this domain . . . so if you have an URL with the ending .hr, .iz.hr, .form.hr you have the right to get free hosting. You have to find a hoster that provides this free space, but if you have found it, nobody can take it away from you. On Tuesday I got an e-mail from carnet with a pdf document about my new domain "igor-klajo.iz.hr". "igor-klajo.iz.hr" and "igor-klajo.iz.hr" are also wokring. I only have to register some webspace and than I'll be able to go on with the work. I'll keep you up to date about this domain and the website I gonna have.

Now, something related to this site.

  • I changed the look of the site with the website info. I put the older layouts to the top starting with the oldest, wrote soemthing about this layotu, too. The text that was on the top of the site moved to the bottom and is named "the first steps".

Changing things

It's Monday and it's time for a site update. Yes, I changed again something.

  • Fixed a mistake I did in the "contact" section. I accidently used this + gif image in front of the mail address, but it should have been the mail gif. Now it's the way it should be
  • New subsection under tutorial, it's called "CSS tutorials"
  • Did a new tutorial called "View acronyms in Internet Explorer"
  • Optimized some banners for the web
  • Optimized the pictures for the web

This new tutorial for CSS is more like a help file. I did it because of the need to make acronyms visible in Internet Explorer. You can read this "how to" online or you can downlaod the .pdf file and read it offline.

Fix the fix

The changed layout is up since two days and I did some fixes to the site.

  • Fixed the broken links in the "news" section
  • I have a new "desktop"
  • Links inside the site are formated italic
  • Removed the underline formating from the links in the "linkage" section. It's not needed because the section name tells what the content is about, and it's a bit distracting.
  • Uploaded a "preview" of the version 3 layout I decided not to use, not yet. The layout has a dynamic width
  • Changed some things in the templates and the code, fixed some failures that occured sometimes.

Finaly, the "photo" section redesign of the website is completed. The layout isn't different from the one I used for version 2, but still different. Because of the changed I did and the fact that the layout isn't changed that much I decided to call the site igorklajo.de version2 [ enhanced ]. I checked the site for mistakes and bugs, but it's possible that I forgot do fix something, so if you soemthing isn't working please feel free to contact me

Almost finished

It's Monday again and the weather is cloudy. I'm still sick, but that won't hold me apart from working on my website. Here are the changes since the last update
