March 28, 2006
DropSend, a product by Carson Systems Ltd., is an easy and secure way to email large files. You can send files up to 1GB with DropSend or if you want, you can store files online, accessible from all around the globe ( of course you'll need an interent access for that ). To use this service you don't have to isntall any program, everything is done over a very simple and easy to use interface available over internet. Of course, if you want to, you can install a small software not larger than 2 MB which allows you to backup and upload entire folders.
DropSend offers four different plans ( packages ): Free, Basic, Standard and Professional where each plan has a different pricing, file and storage limitation. The best way to figure out what DropSend is about, is to try it out by yourself.
Minor changes and websites
March 25, 2006
After about 26 hours since version 4 of this website is running, I've done the first update. I changed a couple of things in the guestbook and the contact form. I guess it's still not perfect but it's better than before. Also cleaned up the CSS file, deleted uneccessary lines, grouped a couple of things, created a better overview. Well, made the file smaller in size.
Also new are two links in the linkage section. One of them is turnerdigitalmedia.com which is an online portfolio by Brandon Turner. Currently there is a photo gallery on the site, but soon some more features will be presented in there. The second interesting website I came along is eos-pro.com. It's a resource website for photographers that own a digital Canon EOS camera. It's a very informative site with lots of helpfull things, where some of the information ism't limited only to Canon EOS users. Everybody who's interested in photography can catch up some useful tips and tricks on the site. Have a look at it if you have some free time.

Last night I decided it's time to upload the fourth, hopefully not the last, version of my website. After doing so, I tested the website to see if it's working the way it should. Surprisignly it is working fine. I thought that I would spend the whole night updating and testing it . . . ooops, I actually did.
In the mornign when I woke up and checked the website again I found a strange problem. Firefox and Opera didn't load the website 100%. After a couple of minutes of testing I figured out that the problem was in the .htaccess file. Back in December 2005 I created cutome ERROR/STATUS pages. I created them for all know ID's and wrote a redirection rule for each of them in the .htaccess file. One of them caused problems back in those days so I removed the rule. I thought that's it, but I was wrong. On the previous version I didn't notice this little problem that well, but now it was very annoying. Some of the existing rules caused the site not load properly. Either the whole CSS didn't load or some images were missing. Refreshing the site didn't help solving ths problem, because some other parts didn't load that prior worked fine. I fixed this problem and the whole website should work without a problem now.
Also changed the buttons in on the contact form and the guestbook, changed the header image, created the thex shadow and website name, forgot to do this, and removed some link hover effects that I fotgot to do aswell. I think that's it for now.
Ready to go
March 22, 2006
The last two weeks have been very confusing. I was about to finish the site, but I couldn't. I simply couldn't find the right things to finish the site. If I look at it right now, I'm still not pleased with it. A couple of sites don't look that well, the content is simply not what it should be. Anyway, I gonna upload the site and will change those little things later. What I have to change later is the welcome site, accessibility site, main portfolio site and some minor changes.
Almost done
March 08, 2006
I've been working on my website the last couple of days and I have to say that I'm almost done with the work. The hard job is done, what is left is are only small things like, creating a new link x-change banner(s), updating the sitemap.xml file do some final checks and such things. I'm still not sure about the look of some parts of the site, therefore minor changes are possible ( for example the site footer, linkage section ). I had to remove the site wide IP block list because the it slowed down the accessibility of the site, this list still exists but it affects only the guestbook. I hope that those bad spam bots are still blocked. Well, anyway. Let's get back to work.
